According to a new report from the Ministry of Health, Covid-19 cases decreased significantly last week, although the document also acknowledges that fewer tests were made.

873 new infections and 444 re-infections were recorded in Luxembourg between 31 October and 6 November, a significant decrease compared to the previous week, which counted 1,560 new cases and 688 repeated infections. The number of tests went down from 7,555 to 5,428.

Last week, four people died after having contracted Covid-19. Their average age was 82 years. The average age of hospitalised patients was 72 years.

People above the age of 90 recorded the highest incidence rate, the lowest affected children under the age of four.
