At around 5.45pm on Monday, the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) was called into action due to a chemical incident in Sanem. A work accident in the ‘Gadderscheier’ industrial zone had taken place, after a broken hose left a chemical of undisclosed nature leaking from a lorry.
Ambulances, emergency doctors, firefighters, and the Inspectorate of Labour and Mines were deployed to the scene, as was the CGDIS Group for Chemical, Biological, Radiologic, and Nuclear Risks (CBRN).
Seven people were brought to the hospital for precautionary checkups, with six already released.
