Luxembourg City municipal council has released a warning concerning phishing emails impersonating the council itself.
The emails purport to share information about the "municipal annual report and a residence certificate" and call upon recipients to click on a link contained within the message to update their personal details.
The emails are sent with the subject line: "Administration Communale — Ville de Luxembourg : Mise à jour de vos coordonnées de correspondance."
The council calls upon the public to exercise caution and reminds that it would never ask residents to share personal details via a link or a website from an email.
