An orange alert for extreme cold continues until 11 am, with temperatures expected to plummet as low as -13°C.

After gray clouds dissipate throughout the morning, the day will be mostly cloudy to very cloudy and without precipitation.

Morning temperatures will range from -13 to -10°C, as extreme cold blankets the entirety of the Grand Duchy. The afternoon will see a relatively warmer turn, with temperatures ranging from -3 to -1°C. The evening will grow colder again, dipping back down to -6 to -4°C.

To safeguard against extreme cold, Météolux offers a set of guidelines:

  • Limit exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to the cold.
  • Bundle up: Dress warmly, paying special attention to covering your head and hands.
  • Stay dry: Refrain from wearing damp clothes.
  • Exercise caution with alcohol: Limit alcohol consumption.
  • Stay connected: Keep in touch with vulnerable individuals in your surroundings.
