
Flight LG 933, carrying 173 passengers, was unable to land in Djerba due to the weather. Passengers were kept informed throughout the situation by the captain and cabin crew. The aircraft was diverted to Enfidha in Tunisia, where it landed safely and took on fuel before returning to Luxembourg.
Arrival at Findel Airport had initially been scheduled for 23.50, according to information published on lux-airport.lu. On board the return flight from Enfidha to Luxembourg were 125 passengers and three children. The aircraft eventually departed Enfidha at 00.14 and landed at Findel at 02.24.
Luxair said an additional flight would be organised on Sunday to ensure all passengers reach their destination in Djerba. The airline said it is taking care of all affected passengers, with appropriate assistance being provided and dedicated teams supporting customers on site.
Luxair apologised for the inconvenience and thanked passengers for their understanding, stressing that safety remains the airline’s absolute priority. It added that while every effort is made to operate flights as scheduled, operations can sometimes be affected by unexpected weather conditions.
