At its meeting on Thursday, the Steinfort municipal council decided on a possible candidate for the post.
34-year-old Sammy Wagner, a physics teacher and member of the municipal executive for the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP), will be proposed to the Grand Duke as mayor.
As a result of this appointment, a position in the municipal executive will also have to be filled. In a statement published on Friday morning, the LSAP section of Steinfort announced that the 53-year-old bank employee Marianne Dublin-Felten will succeed Sammy Wagner.
