Newspaper Wort recently reported that gastroenterologist Marc Berna was supposedly to be named new CEO of the hospital group. In a Thursday press release, HRS now denies this report. Vice president Claude Seywer writes that the recruitment process is still ongoing and that no nominee has been singled out yet.

Wort reported that the process lacks transparency as a much more qualified candidate has been dropped. The newspaper further alleges that former HRS president Jean-Louis Schiltz continues pulling the strings.

The HRS statement notes that the recruitment process is considerate of foreign candidates and that the selection committee will also be supported by external advisors. Both the medical council and the personell delegation will be informed about every step, officials further underline.

The hospital group has been on the search for a new CEO since they caused a controversy at the beginning of the year for prematurely vaccinating board members, which forced the hospital to part ways with Claude Schummer.
