
In Weiler-la-Tour, a vehicle caught fire in a field, but the fire brigade managed to extinguish it before it spread. Subsequently, the driver was asked to take a breathalyser test, which came back positive. As a consequence, the driver’s licence was revoked.
On Rue Lohr in Mersch, shortly before 4am, the police observed a motorist driving at excessive speed through a roundabout and veering into the opposite lane. The officers promptly stopped the vehicle, and it was discovered that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. Consequently, the driver had their driving licence confiscated.
In another incident, a drink driver was reported on Rue Joseph Merten in Diekirch. The driver had grazed the pavement, resulting in a burst tire and the vehicle spinning out and coming to a halt the wrong way around in a roundabout. In this case too, the driver turned out to be inebriated.
