On Thursday evening at around 6pm, police were called to the Gare neighbourhood in Luxembourg City following reports of an individual allegedly carrying a firearm.

The alert was raised by a bus driver who observed a group of around ten adolescents and suspected that one of them might be in possession of a weapon. In response, eight police patrols were despatched to the scene.

The intervention, which concluded by 7pm, involved checks of the suspected individuals. However, authorities confirmed that no firearm or any other suspicious items were found.
