What at first seemed like a one-person job soon turned out to be an organised robbery. While the main perpetrator stole a number of perfume flasks and behaved aggressively toward staff members, an accomplice was busy taking other valuable objects.
When police arrived at the scene and detained both men, another accomplice appeared and tried grabbing the stolen goods in time to escape. His partners in crime used the opportunity to resist the arrest, lightly injuring themselves and the officers in the process.
In the midst of the commotion, one of the suspects even managed to steal the watch of a security guard.
Once police had the situation back under control, they took all three perpetrators to the station. A subsequent body search revealed an additional number of stolen items.
The prosector’s office thus ordered the arrest of all three individuals. On Sunday morning, they were presented to an examining magistrate.
