The National Roads Authority has launched a series of overnight repairs to address numerous potholes across Luxembourg’s motorway network. The work is a response to deteriorating road surfaces, a condition attributed to aging infrastructure and heavy lorry traffic.

The entire network is affected, spanning from the A1 past the Luxembourg City Collectrice to the A7 in the north and all the way down to the south. In a single overnight operation between Wednesday and Thursday, crews repaired approximately 23 potholes along a section between Senningerberg and Kirchberg, milling an area measuring three metres in length and five centimetres in depth.

To date, repairs have been completed at over 50 locations. The authority notes that work is ongoing, with a number of potholes still slated for repair.
