PoliceOfficer under investigation for personal symbols on uniform

RTL Today
MPs from the Pirate Party recently put forward a parliamentary enquiry concerned with the prohibited attachment of personal, ideological, or religious symbols on police uniforms.

In his official response, Minister for Internal Security Henri Kox states that a police officer is not allowed to modify his or her uniform to reflect political, religious, or philosophical believes. He further conveys that to this date, there has only been one such case, which is currently being investigated.

MPs Sven Clement and Marc Goergen also enquired about the consequences for officers that depict affiliations to known far-right groups and scenes. Minister Kox replied that in such instances, the police's general inspection will intervene and potentially initiate legal procedures.
