Belgian investigators are seeking information regarding the origin of a bed sheet, which is said to be aged and has undergone alterations. The sheet measures 244 cm in length and 140 cm in width, crafted from light-coloured cotton. Notably, it features an embroidery of the initials “KW” near the hem.

Individuals knowledgeable about embroidery are specifically urged to come forward with any relevant information. They can reach out via email at “avisderecherche@police.belgium.eu” or by phone at (+32) 800 30 300.

Bed sheet allegedly linked to dead baby case

According to reports from Belgian media outlets, the bed sheet is purportedly connected to a case dating back to 2008. In November of that year, a group of young scouts, aged between 5 and 8, stumbled upon the body of a female infant in the forest near the village of Sibret, approximately 12 kilometres from the Luxembourg border. The infant was estimated to be only a few hours old at the time of discovery. Despite an initial investigation launched by Belgian authorities following the discovery, the case remains unsolved.

Belgian media reports suggest that the bed sheet may have played a role in the investigation.
