On Wednesday morning, Mylar Specialty Films Luxembourg S.à.r.l. announced that a social plan was signed on 5 February, affecting 95 employees.
The company’s management welcomed the agreement, describing the negotiations with social partners as “constructive and transparent.”
The announcement follows the mid-January decision by the plastic film producer to cease production in Luxembourg. The company cited declining demand for its products, rising operational costs, and persistent financial losses as the primary reasons for the shutdown.
