In recent weeks, graffiti depicting the number “90" has sprung up “like mushrooms” across Ettelbruck, the municipality wrote in a Facebook post. At least 95 instances of the graffiti have been reported to date.

Acts of vandalism can be punished by imprisonment, with sentences ranging from eight days to twelve months. Vandals may also be fined between 251 and 5,000 euros.
