On Saturday evening, police took a man into custody after he was caught stealing from a restaurant in Luxembourg City centre. A witness followed the thief until officers caught up with them on Avenue Monterey. It transpired the suspect was also wanted by Belgian authorities. He was brought before an investigating judge on Sunday morning.
In Wemperhardt, two shoplifters were caught in a shopping centre, where they had stolen multiple items of clothing. Security personnel stopped the two men at the scene. They were duly arrested and brought before a magistrate on Sunday.
In Luxembourg City's Gare district, a car was stolen on Saturday morning, but located on Rue de Hollerich the same day. The suspect was arrested by order of the public prosecutor's office.
