Police have reported a mugging that took place on Friday evening in Bonnevoie, Luxembourg City. According to the authorities, three men confronted a pedestrian near Cour du Couvent, threatening the victim and stealing items from their pockets. The encounter reportedly turned physical, but the suspects managed to flee the scene. An investigation is currently underway.

In addition to the mugging, police received several reports of car break-ins. In Bettange-sur-Mess, cash and a mobile phone were stolen from a vehicle, while in the Ville-Haute neighbourhood, near the Schueberfouer, a backpack was taken from another car. In both cases, the suspects escaped, and investigations have been launched.

Meanwhile, on Friday afternoon, police responded to a suspected shoplifting incident at a shopping centre in Kirchberg. A suspect was apprehended by a police patrol and subsequently arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office. The individual appeared before an examining magistrate on Saturday morning.
