On Wednesday evening, two cars were involved in a collision in Koetschette. One of the drivers sped off from the scene without exchanging details. Police were later able to identify and locate the driver, who was visibly intoxicated yet refused to take a breathalyser test. As a result, he was issued with a provisional driving ban.
Another police patrol caught a driver speeding on the A4 motorway towards Esch-sur-Alzette. The errant driver was travelling at 209 km/h in a 130 km/h zone, before slowing down slightly to 176 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
