So far, the Flood Prediction Centre (SPC) has declared a phase of vigilance, but with the newest forecast, it expects water levels to surpass the alert level of 5,30 m on Saturday evening.
Throughout Sunday, the SPC estimates that Stadtbredimus water levels will continue to rise between 550 and 570 cm, but is fairly confident that the alert level of 620 cm will not be reached.
Nonetheless, the SPC warns that water forecasts beyond the weekend remain uncertain at present.
This Saturday morning the weather is dry, apart from a few scattered raindrops, but the frontal system of a Northeast Atlantic low is approaching the Moselle watershed. Precipitation is expected again starting this afternoon.
