Nine further deaths from Covid-19 were reported today, meaning the total death toll in the Grand Duchy has risen to 714. It’s the highest daily death toll since 26 December 2020, when 11 deaths were reported.
11,799 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was 2.38%.
There are 101 patients in standard hospital care, up four from yesterday, while the number in intensive care has dropped by six to 17.
As of Thursday, there were 3,094 active infections in Luxembourg, while 55,147 patients have recovered from the virus.
52,870 people had received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg. 17,469 of those had received a second dose.
The R rate remains stable at 1.07.
