Interpol had issued an international arrest warrant for the man.
On Friday, judicial police arrested the Brazilian citizen with support from a special police unit belonging to the Esch-sur-Alzette police department.
On 23 January 2020, the criminal was sentenced to 16.5 years in prison. It is unclear since when the fugitive was in Luxembourg.
He is currently in prison in Luxembourg and awaiting extradition to Brazil.
