
Several police patrols were dispatched to Dudelange shortly before 9pm on Friday after a man had beaten a woman. The suspect was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor’s office and brought before the investigating magistrate on Saturday.
According to initial reports, the physical attack was preceded by a verbal argument between the man and woman.
On Sunday evening, police were alerted of a brawl between several people in Luxembourg’s Gare district. Upon arrival, however, the police officers concluded there had only been a verbal argument. Nonetheless, one of the three men was uncooperative and showed signs of intoxication. He spent the night in the sobering-up cell.
Another person was brought to the drunk tank after rioting across Esch on Sunday night.
