The Luxembourg police were called to respond to a case of domestic violence in Warken, a town near Ettelbruck, on Monday after a woman was injured by her partner.
According to the police report, the victim was stabbed by her partner. A police patrol was promptly despatched to the scene, where officers arrested the suspect.
The police confirmed that the injured woman has been hospitalised for treatment. Following the incident, the suspect was formally taken into custody upon request of the public prosecutor’s office. An investigation into the matter is currently underway, and the case will be referred to the courts for further legal proceedings.
