A new report from Eurostat shows Luxembourg has the highest per capita greenhouse gas emissions for household heating and cooling in the EU.

Luxembourg’s real estate market, as all residents of the Grand Duchy know, is highly overpriced. But it is also expensive for the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.

In its latest interactive publication entitled Housing in Europe, Eurostat compared the environmental impact of housing per inhabitant across the EU. And it’s bad news for Luxembourg, which lies at the bottom of the pack.
