The Ministry of Energy and Spatial Planning has published a new report on efforts to reduce natural gas consumption in Luxembourg.
The Ministry reports a substantial decrease of around 38% compared to the reference period spanning 2017 to 2022, surpassing the natural gas demand reduction target set by EU member states.
The measure to voluntarily reduce natural gas demand by 15% was decided at European level to ensure secure energy supply throughout the European Union during the upcoming winter season. The initiative has recently been renewed.
