
The impressive aircraft will be jointly used by both the armies of Luxembourg and Belgium. Around three weeks ago, the government already transferred €156 million to purchase the aircraft. €12.5 million are yet to follow.
The VAT, amounting to nearly €29 million, will go to the Luxembourgish state. Bausch also laid out the training costs of four pilots, which lie at €6.3 million. Officials plan to train two more pilots in the near future.
Operating and maintenance costs for a 35-year period are estimated at €420 million.
