Luxembourg police cracked down on drink driving Friday night, pulling over 172 motorists at three checkpoints.

On Friday night, the Luxembourg police carried out alcohol checks at three locations: Luxembourg City, Hesperange, and Route d’Echternach.

During the operation, 172 motorists were pulled over, with 11 testing positive for alcohol consumption. Two drivers had their licences revoked on the spot.

Police also revoked driving licences in Käerjeng, between Kehlen and Keispelt, and on the A6 motorway heading toward Luxembourg City. In these cases, drivers drew attention due to accidents, dangerous driving, or speeding. All were found to be under the influence of alcohol.
