Alleged perpetrator of eight crimesLuxembourg police extradite wanted man to Germany

RTL Today
Luxembourg authorities have extradited a 45-year-old North Macedonian national, subject to a European arrest warrant, to Germany.

The individual faced charges from the Constance public prosecutor’s office relating to eight criminal offences, including attempted rape with assault and battery, harassment, and depredation. Additionally, seven other charges encompassed assault and battery along with threats.

The sequence of events began in November 2022 when the suspect began threatening and harassing his then-partner. Subsequently, in December of the same year, he purportedly physically assaulted her, delivering punches and kicks while she was on the ground.

In January 2023, the situation escalated further when the accused reportedly struck her again and menaced her with a kitchen knife to coerce her into sexual activity.

The victim managed to flee and call for help.

Despite being served with a restraining order at the end of January, prohibiting contact with his ex-girlfriend, the suspect violated this directive.

Following extradition, the suspect was transferred to Trier prison by German authorities, where he is being detained pending trial.
