
The intensified cooperation was formalised on Thursday when Minister for Home Affairs Léon Gloden and his French counterpart Gérald Darmanin signed two administrative arrangements, outlining the specifics of these patrols.
The joint operations fall under the authority of the 2001 bilateral agreement governing cross-border collaboration in police and customs matters, in accordance with European legislation.
This collaborative effort builds upon an agreement established 18 months ago, which removed the ten-kilometre limit on cross-border pursuits between Luxembourg and France.
