Flight LG 661, which had departed Luxembourg for Malaga, turned back “as a precaution” after a technical issue occurred in the air, the airline said, without specifying the nature of the problem. The Boeing 737-700 landed safely at Findel, Luxair confirmed. Passengers were kept informed by the captain and crew throughout the flight.
A replacement flight operated by another aircraft was arranged to depart from Luxembourg to Malaga later the same day. The return service from Malaga to Luxembourg, flight LG 662, is scheduled to operate on Thursday morning.
Luxair said that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its absolute priority and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
