On Saturday evening, shortly before 9pm, the police was informed that a resident of Mersch was able to restrain an individual trying to break into several parked cars on rue Wangert.
Upon arrival of the police, the resident explained that he had discovered the individual sitting in their vehicle, searching through it. Together with their brother, the resident was able to subdue and restrain the suspect.
However, a second person managed to escape. The detained suspect was taken to the police station, where a report was filed.
