The Chamber of Deputies will vote on the newest version of the Covid restrictions next week, which will last until the week following the Easter holidays.
However, these are unlikely to be the last set of restrictions before a complete reopening. For this reason, the government has opted to extend leave for family reasons until the summer term ends on 17 July.
The special dispensations in place for parental leave were due to expire on 3 April.
Parents are eligible for leave if their child is placed in isolation or quarantine, or if their child's school or creche has been closed due to an outbreak.
The bill, with LSAP MP Georges Engel as rapporteur, will be put to a vote next week.
