The Civil Aviation Authority (DAC), which oversees aviation security in Luxembourg, has appointed a new Director. Laura Könner, an experienced aviation professional, will assume her role on 19 May, following her appointment by the government in early February.

Könner previously served as an aviation expert at the Ministry of Mobility, where she represented Luxembourg at Eurocontrol and the European Commission. Her career also includes roles as a flight operations engineer at Airbus and as an assistant to a CEO at a multinational company focusing on digitalisation and sustainability in the mobility sector.

According to the government, Könner holds a Master of Science in Logistics from Westminster University, a Master’s degree in Air Transport Management from the National Civil Aviation School, and a postgraduate diploma in Aeronautical MRO & Engineering.
