On Friday, Labour Minister Georges Mischo formally inaugurated the new offices of the National Employment Agency (ADEM) and a new local branch of the Luxembourg Inland Revenue in Differdange. Located in the same building at 4 Place Marie-Paule Molitor Peffer, Mischo described the building as reflective of a “more welcoming and modern” public service, particularly highlighting the building’s design efficacy and the simplification of administrative procedures.

18 ADEM employees are set to work on the new premises and provide support to close to 3,000 jobseekers, according to Mischo.

The local tax office and its nine employees already moved into the Aurea tower, right in the centre of Differdange, on 19 November 2024. The ground floor has a reception space separate from the back offices, which are spacious enough to accommodate the growing demand of the branch.

The architects of the building were inspired by an innovative approach, a design based on a concept of interlocking boxes called ‘Box in the Box’. The concept thereby optimises space, versatility, and light to create a unique yet functional environment.
