The two Knauf shopping centres in Pommerloch and in Huldange, previously belonging to the Belgian real estate group Nextensa have been sold to the Dutch Wereldhave group for 165,75 million euros. According to Nextensa, the Knauf shopping centres had gradually become less important for their business strategy. Nextensa further states that the sale of the two shopping centres has provided them with the financial leeway to pursue other projects.
In the press release by Weredlhave, the group states more precisely that the Knauf shopping centre in Pommerloch will be taken over by Wereldhave Belgium, while the Knauf shopping centre situated in Huldange was purchased by Wereldhave N.V.
The CEO of Wereldhave and Wereldhave Belgium, Matthijs Storm, commented that the purchase was an “important step”. According to Storm, the two shopping centres have great potential for value creation and offer opportunities for further development and enhancement.
