Luxembourg's legal landscape saw a change on Wednesday as John Petry was sworn in as the new prosecutor general, succeeding Martine Solovieff after a decade at the helm.
On Wednesday, John Petry was sworn in as Luxembourg’s new prosecutor general.
The 59-year-old Petry brings over 30 years of experience with the public prosecutor’s office. Previously, he served as Deputy Prosecutor General under Martine Solovieff, and he will succeed her in the role, effective 1 February.
Solovieff is retiring after ten years at the helm of the public prosecutor’s office.
