11 positions at the events agency could not be saved, although the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) was able to negotiate compensation for the affected employees.

Earlier this month, the Farvest events agency announced it was set to cease its Luxembourg-based activities, with owners Docler Media citing economic hardship as a result of successive crises as the reason behind the agency’s liquidation.

On Friday, the LCGB trade union confirmed it had negotiated provisions such as compensation for the staff affected by the closure, but ultimately could not secure their jobs.

The agency organised events in Luxembourg and the Greater Region, notably including the flagship technology conference ICT Spring.
