EncevoIssues after cyber attack only resolved after two months

RTL Today
The hacking of Encevo, the parent company of Enovos and Creos, at the end of July has had a significant impact on the energy provider's flow of information.

Enovos recently informed its clients that it took them two months, until the end of September, to resolve the technical issues they were experiencing. The company was having issues with invoicing and billing.

The hacker group BlackCat attempted to blackmail Encevo by threatening to expose stolen client data. The company refused to cave to the blackmail, and the data was indeed published on the dark web.

The hackers stole private information such as clients’ names, addresses, telephone numbers, and bank details. The persons concerned have meanwhile all been contacted personally and informed in detail about the sensitive data that has been leaked.
