The perpetrator struck another vehicle and came to a stop in the middle of the road at around 5am on Sunday, before attempting to flee the scene of the accident. However, a witness was able to provide police with a description, which meant officers were able to apprehend the man later on Rue Gaffelt.
The man tested positive for alcohol and drug consumption, specifically cocaine. His licence was taken away and he was written up by police.
