Chantal Gary (35) received just over 4,300 votes in the last elections and came third in her constituency. She took her uncle Henri Kox’s place as member of parliament when he was called into government in 2019.

It is worth noting that this family link will pose no problem for the two candidates if they were both to be elected.

In addition to the leading duo, the Greens have nominated Betzdorf councillor Fernande Klares-Goergen (65), as well as Echternach local councillor Christophe Origer (30), who left the CSV in late 2022.
Max Pesch, also a member of Bech local council, Amy Winandy, spokeswoman for the Young Greens, and Carole Zeimetz, a councillor in Echternach, are also running.

The average age of the Green list in the east of the country is 43, with four women and three men taking part in the electoral race.

The former minister for the environment, Carole Dieschbourg, will not be representing the party in the East, and neither will Meris Sehovic, who moved to the top of the list in the south of the country.
