A fatal accident occurred on Thursday, 22 May 2026, in the late afternoon on the N10 near Remerschen.
At around 4.30pm, police were alerted to a head-on collision between two vehicles, which occurred for reasons that are still unknown at this stage of the investigation. The impact was severe.
The driver of one of the vehicles, an 81-year-old man, died at the scene from his injuries.
The female driver of the other car was treated by emergency services and taken to hospital. According to initial medical reports, her life is not in danger.
The public prosecutor’s office has tasked the accident investigation and identification unit with determining the exact circumstances of the accident.
The N10 was closed to traffic for the duration of the rescue operations and the investigation at the scene.
