
At a press conference marking the milestone anniversary, Aendekerk underscored the ongoing urgency to drive change. Greenpeace Luxembourg is set to embark on various campaigns this year, including continued advocacy for a ban on glyphosate and steadfast calls for the compensation fund to align with the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement while combating greenwashing practices.
Another demand focuses on decommissioning one of the reactors at the Cattenom nuclear power plant after four decades of operation. Greenpeace Luxembourg also remains vigilant in monitoring the approach of the new government coalition formed by the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV) and the Democratic Party (DP) towards addressing climate and biodiversity concerns.
