On Friday 14 July around 8 pm, one side of the tunnel on the A7 between Mersch and Lorentzweiler will be closed for traffic. Until 13 August the side of the tunnel heading towards Lorentzweiler will be closed off. Traffic in both directions will run through the part of the tunnel going towards Schoenfels.

After 13 August once the works on one side are finished, the inverse will happen. Meaning that until 18 September at 6 am, the traffic in both directions will be routed through the tunnel towards Lorentzweiler, and the side heading towards Schoenfels will be closed down.
The reason for the construction is that the Luxembourgish traffic control centre (CITA) wants to update their equipment.
