On Thursday afternoon, police were notified of a break-in targeting a vehicle parked on Rue Joseph Heintz in the capital. The suspect used force to gain entry into the car, stealing a wallet and house keys in the process. The man was identified by police shortly afterwards, as officers found the victim's bank card near their suspect. He was subsequently taken into custody, where it transpired he had had several previous run-ins with the authorities for similar offences. The public prosecutor's office ordered the man's arrest.

Three more people were arrested for theft on Thursday. Police were called to a shop in Strassen at around 10.30am, where they found two suspects accused of shoplifting. The two individuals lacked any identification and were taken to the police station, where the stolen items were confiscated.

Later that day, a security officer in a Kirchberg shopping centre caught a man in the act of stealing several items of clothing from a store. When stopped, the man admitted to taking four items, concealing them in a backpack. He was later brought to the police station for processing.
