Several streets around the bomb discovery site, including Rue Nicolas Martha, Rue Jean François Gangler and Rue Demy Schlechter were closed off for a short while. A creche was also evacuated.
The scrap metal could be remains of an old grenade, but this could not be confirmed by police at this point.
