Those in charge were fairly satisfied with the festivities and their impact in 2023. President Charles Hary noted a noticeable resurgence in public interest in celebration, evidenced by increased attendance at fairs and funfairs. Anticipating a continuation of this trend, fairground operators are optimistic about the prospects for 2024.
During the meeting, the committee paid tribute to Gaston Becker, a respected member of the Luxembourg fairground community. Additionally, a donation of €5,000 to Vicar General Patrick Muller was announced to support the renovation of the Glacis chapel.
The meeting took place as carnival season is in full swing, with the upcoming Diekirch Cavalcade scheduled for Sunday.
