Six collisions on Luxembourg's roads on Tuesday evening left at least eight people injured.

After a car was ripped in two after hitting a tree on Tuesday morning, various road accidents were reported on Tuesday evening and in the early hours of Wednesday.

Two collisions involving three cars each occurred during Tuesday evening rush hour on the A4 near Leudelange. Two people were taken to the emergency room by rescue services. Just 15 minutes earlier, a similar scenario occurred between Leudelange Nord and Croix de Cessange, injuring one.

On the A1 towards Trier, another person was injured in a collision between two cars. This took place around 5.25pm between the Cents tunnel and the Irrgärtchen roundabout.

Shortly before 6pm on Rue de Luxembourg in Frisange, two cars collided. One person was attended to by paramedics. Later, around 9pm, two cars crashed here again.

Two cars collided around 7pm at the Gluck roundabout in the capital.

And finally, one person drove off the road between Junglinster and Gonderange shortly past midnight. Firefighters from Junglinster and an ambulance from Larochette were at the scene.
