Two motorists were pulled over by police on Sunday for being drunk at the wheel.

On Sunday afternoon, a police patrol stopped a vehicle on Boulevard JF Kennedy, Sanem, due to suspicious driving. The motorist was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was promptly issued with a provisional driving ban.

Later on Sunday evening, officers followed a vehicle travelling at excessive speed along Boulevard Prince Henri in Esch-Belval. The vehicle was emitting smoke and showed signs of serious damage. When police caught up with the car and performed an inspection, the vehicle was found to have been damaged in a road accident several days prior. The driver, who was intoxicated, also failed to produce valid insurance for the vehicle, and also receiving a provisional driving ban as a result.
