A police patrol was able to locate the vehicle near the Heinerscheid exit ramp. When they approached the car, they witnessed an unusual manoeuvre: the driver and the passenger were trying to quickly change seats.

When questioned about this, the two men initially denied the charge before admitting to having exchanged seats. As a result, the initial driver turned passenger had to take a breathalyzer test. He tested positive for alcohol and was forced to hand over his driver's license.

Two other incidents

Around the same time, a police patrol caught another drunk driver on Avenue de la Faïencerie in Limpertsberg. Her driver's license was also suspended.

Same story, different location: a third drunk driver decided to get behind the wheel on Rue Joseph Felten in Howald. He had to leave his car behind and pay a €145 fine. He also lost two points on his license.
