At around 12.45pm, a driver lost control of their vehicle on a bend, veering off the carriageway and colliding with a tree. Initial reports suggest that slippery road conditions contributed to the incident.

Similarly, another accident occurred on the N12 between Tuntange and Saeul, also attributed to the slippery road surface.

The ACL emphasises that current road conditions pose challenges for drivers, with the potential for slippery surfaces and hazards such as aquaplaning or falling branches and trees onto the carriageway.
